The sportfishing boat Point Loma will be offering Twilight trips starting June 19th. These are great trips leaving Wednesday through Sunday at 4:00 PM and returning at 9:30 PM. You can catch the evening bite and watch the sun set for only $45.00 per person. It's a great way to spend some quality time on the water. California fishing license required. 11 year old Aaron had done a few 1/2 day trips, his
personal best had been a two pound rockfish. On his first 3/4
day trip on the Mission Belle, he did a great job landing this
11 pound bonito as well as a couple of big barracuda. Nathan Beesley got skunked twice last week but was rewarded for riding with us on the Belle with this very nice yellowtail. The Mission Belle is getting very good counts of yellowtail, consistently about one per rod, and lots of big barracuda and a few nice rockfish. Check the fish counts page. _____________________________ Barracuda is a very under-appreciated species. Yeah, they're slimy, toothy and kinda ugly but they're pretty good barbecued and make a great ceviche. See our recipes page for a quick ceviche starter. __________________________________ The Daily Double has been having great fishing lately. We've had some white sea bass, great calico bass fishing and a couple of nice halibut like this one for Craig Camenson. Check out our fish counts page for counts for all three of our boats. Father's day is just around the corner. Fishing has always been a father/son passtime and conditions are looking very good for mid June fishing.

All local trips require a valid California fishing license. One day California licenses can be purchased at the dock for $14.61. All trips to Mexican waters require a Mexican fishing permit. Mexican permits can be purchased at the dock for $13.00.
